No Service or No Signal After eSIM Installation
Seeing "No Service" or "No Signal" after installing your eSIM is one of the most common issues. In most cases, it's resolved with a few simple steps.
Quick Fix Checklist
Try these steps in order. Most issues are resolved by step 3:
1. Toggle Airplane Mode
- Turn Airplane Mode ON, wait 10 seconds, then turn it OFF
- This forces your phone to re-register with available networks
2. Enable Data Roaming
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap your Roambit eSIM → toggle Data Roaming ON
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Roambit eSIM → toggle Roaming ON
⚠️ This is the #1 most common cause. Data roaming must be enabled for international eSIM plans.
3. Set eSIM as Data Line
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → select your Roambit eSIM
- Android: Settings → SIMs → Mobile data → select Roambit eSIM
4. Restart Your Device
- Turn your phone completely off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on
- This clears temporary network glitches
5. Check if eSIM is Enabled
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Roambit plan → ensure Turn On This Line is ON
- Android: Settings → SIMs → Roambit eSIM → ensure Use SIM is ON
Advanced Troubleshooting
Manually Select Network
If automatic network selection isn't working:
iPhone:
- Settings → Cellular → tap Roambit eSIM
- Tap Network Selection
- Toggle OFF Automatic
- Wait for available networks to load
- Select one of the listed carriers
- If the first one doesn't work, try others
Android:
- Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Roambit eSIM
- Tap Network operators or Carrier
- Turn off Automatic
- Select an available carrier from the list
Reset Network Settings
As a last resort, you can reset all network settings:
iPhone:
- Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings
Android:
- Settings → System → Reset options → Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
Warning: This will also reset your Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, and VPN configurations.
Still No Service?
If none of the above works:
- Wait up to 24 hours - Some eSIM profiles take time to fully activate on the network
- Check coverage - Verify that Roambit has coverage in your exact location
- Check your plan status - Log in to Roambit and verify your plan is active and has remaining data
- Contact support - Reach out to our team via Contact Support with your device model and location
