eSIM Installation on Samsung Galaxy Phones
Samsung Galaxy devices have a dedicated SIM Manager that makes eSIM installation straightforward. This guide covers Galaxy S, Z Fold, Z Flip, Note, and A series devices.
Compatible Samsung Devices
- Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S25 (all variants)
- Galaxy Z Flip, Z Flip3, Z Flip4, Z Flip5, Z Flip6
- Galaxy Z Fold2, Z Fold3, Z Fold4, Z Fold5, Z Fold6
- Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra
- Galaxy A54 5G, A55 5G
Installation Steps
Step 1: Open SIM Manager
- Go to Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap SIM Manager (or SIM card manager)
- Tap Add eSIM
Step 2: Scan the QR Code
- Select Scan QR code from service provider
- Point your camera at the Roambit QR code
- Hold steady until the code is recognized
Step 3: Download the Profile
- Review the carrier information displayed
- Tap Add or Download
- Wait for the profile to download and install (30-60 seconds)
- Tap Done
Step 4: Configure Settings
- Your new eSIM will appear in SIM Manager
- Tap the eSIM to rename it (e.g., "Roambit")
- Set it as your preferred SIM for data:
- In SIM Manager, tap Mobile data
- Select your Roambit eSIM
- Enable Data roaming:
- Go to Settings → Connections → Mobile networks
- Select your Roambit eSIM
- Toggle Data roaming to ON
Samsung-Specific Tips
One UI 6.0+
On newer Samsung devices running One UI 6.0 or later, you can also add an eSIM by:
- Opening the Samsung Phone app
- Going to Settings → SIM Manager
- Tapping the + icon next to eSIM
Dual SIM Management
Samsung's SIM Manager lets you easily control which SIM handles:
- Mobile data → Set to Roambit eSIM
- Calls → Keep on your primary SIM
- Messages → Keep on your primary SIM
Quick Panel Toggle
Add the SIM card toggle to your Quick Panel for fast switching:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap the pencil icon to edit
- Find and add SIM card to your Quick Panel
Troubleshooting Samsung eSIM
- "Add eSIM" not visible - Your device may be carrier-locked. Contact your carrier.
- Download fails - Turn off Wi-Fi calling, disable VPN, restart phone, try again.
- No network after install - Enable data roaming and manually select network operator.
