Checking Your Data Usage and Balance

Stay on top of your data usage to avoid running out during your trip. Here's how to check your balance.

Method 1: Roambit Account Dashboard

The most accurate way to check your remaining data:

  1. Visit roambit.io and log in
  2. Go to My eSIMs
  3. Select your active plan
  4. View your remaining data and validity period

Note: Dashboard data may have a slight delay (up to 15 minutes) compared to real-time usage.

Method 2: Device Settings

iPhone:

  1. Go to SettingsCellular
  2. Scroll down to see data usage per SIM
  3. Look for your Roambit eSIM's usage

Important: iPhone data counters show total data since the last reset, not remaining balance. To get remaining data, check your Roambit dashboard.

Android:

  1. Go to SettingsNetwork & internetSIMs
  2. Tap your Roambit eSIM
  3. View Data usage for the current period

Samsung:

  1. Go to SettingsConnectionsData usage
  2. Select your Roambit eSIM
  3. View usage graph and app breakdown

Method 3: Usage Alerts

Roambit sends automatic notifications:

  • 50% usage - Halfway through your data
  • 80% usage - Time to consider topping up
  • 90% usage - Almost depleted
  • 100% usage - Data exhausted, consider a top-up

These alerts are sent via email and push notification (if you have the Roambit app installed).

Tips to Manage Data Usage

  • Download maps offline before your trip (Google Maps → Download offline map)
  • Use Wi-Fi at hotels, cafés, and airports when available
  • Disable auto-play videos on social media apps
  • Turn off automatic app updates over cellular data
  • Use data saver mode on your device
  • Compress data - Use Opera browser with data compression enabled

Running Low on Data?

If you're running out of data, you can:

  1. Top up your current plan - How to Top Up
  2. Purchase a new plan for additional data
  3. Switch to Wi-Fi for heavy data tasks
